SEF Local Scholarship Program

Each year, the Snohomish Education Foundation (SEF) helps local high school graduates take the next step in their education journey by awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships. In 2024, 193 graduates from AIM, Glacier Peak, and Snohomish High Schools received $286,041 in scholarships, supporting their pursuit of trade and vocational schools, community colleges, and four-year universities.

SEF not only raises funds for its own scholarships but also manages scholarships from local families, businesses, service organizations, and individuals. These scholarships ease the financial burden of higher education, opening doors to future opportunities for students. Sponsors can set specific eligibility criteria, including fields of study or community service, and even participate in selecting their scholarship recipients. Each spring, SEF holds a special ceremony to celebrate the achievements of scholarship recipients and connect them with their sponsors.

Why Sponsor a Scholarship?

  • Local businesses can provide scholarships to encourage study in their industry, build a skilled workforce, or offer community support.

  • Service organizations often reward students for volunteerism and citizenship, encouraging future community leaders.

  • Family memorials or honor scholarships create lasting legacies, celebrating the life and values of a loved one.

SEF also supports endowments, allowing scholarships to be self-funded through investment earnings, ensuring a lasting impact.

Since its founding, SEF has awarded over $3.29 million in scholarships to local students. If you’re interested in sponsoring a scholarship or contributing to an endowment, contact us at 360.568.5292 or scholarships@snoed.org. Help make a young person’s college dreams a reality today!
