150 Graduates of Snohomish School District High Schools Earn $330,000 in Snohomish Education Foundation Scholarships
Each year, the Snohomish Education Foundation Local Scholarship Program helps remove financial barriers and open doors for Glacier Peak, Snohomish and AIM high school students pursuing college, technical training, certification programs, apprenticeships, and career pathways after graduation.
Made possible through the generosity of local donors, families, businesses, and community partners, the program reflects Snohomish’s long-standing commitment to investing in the communities’ youth.
This year, SEF awarded just under $330,000 in scholarships to 150 students whose applications demonstrated perseverance, leadership, service, and determination to build meaningful futures.
“Reviewing scholarship applications is both inspiring and humbling,” said Robin Stefanson, SEF Scholarship Chair. “Our committee reads stories of resilience, hard work, and hope. Our students are balancing academics, jobs, family responsibilities, and personal challenges while planning for their futures. These scholarships recognize not only achievement, but determination and potential.”
“These scholarships represent the power of community coming together to believe in our students,” said Erica Cenci, Executive Director of the Snohomish Education Foundation. “Every award tells a student that their future matters and Snohomish stands behind them as they take their next step. When we invest in students, we invest in the future strength of our entire community.”
A Community Effort
SEF scholarships exist because of community generosity. Many funds were established by families, alumni, educators, and local organizations wanting to honor loved ones, celebrate careers in education, or support causes meaningful to them.
“Scholarships are one of the most personal ways our community shows up for students,” Cenci added. “We are grateful for the community’s support and contributions to this growing program.”
How the Community Can Get Involved
Community members and businesses are invited to join SEF in supporting future graduates by:
- Donating to an SEF Scholarship Fund
- Establishing a named scholarship
- Contributing to an endowed scholarship for long-term impact
- Participating in SEF fundraising events and community campaigns
- Joining the SEF Scholarship Committee to help review scholarships each spring
Together, these efforts expand opportunities for Snohomish students today while building a stronger future workforce and community tomorrow.
Scholarship recipients are recognized during spring senior award ceremonies across the Snohomish School District.
