Snohomish Education Foundation Invests $80,000 in Summer Learning and Student Success
The Snohomish Education Foundation (SEF) is proud to invest $80,000 in programs that support Snohomish School District students beyond the traditional school year.
This funding helps make Summer Academy possible, providing students with engaging learning opportunities that strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and prepare them for success in the upcoming school year. In addition, Foundation support funds the high school Credit Recovery program, middle school startup events, helping students transition successfully into a new school environment, and helps keep school libraries open throughout the summer, ensuring students continue to have access to books, resources, and opportunities to learn when school is not in session.
“Learning doesn’t stop when the school year ends,” said Erica Cenci, Executive Director of the Snohomish Education Foundation. “By investing in Summer Academy, middle school startup events, and summer library access, we’re helping students stay connected, continue learning, and begin each new school year with confidence. These opportunities are made possible because of the incredible generosity of our donors and community.”
Snohomish School District Superintendent Dr. Kent Kultgen added, “We are grateful for the Snohomish Education Foundation’s continued partnership and investment in our students. These programs provide meaningful support during the summer months and help ensure students return to school ready to learn. Together, we are creating opportunities that make a lasting difference for students and families across our district.”
Alice Dailey, the Snohomish Summer Academy Principal said, “Summer Academy is about so much more than academics. It’s about helping students build confidence, reconnect with learning, and start the new school year believing in their ability to succeed. Every student deserves that opportunity.”
SEF’s investment in these programs reflects its commitment to removing barriers, expanding opportunities, and supporting students throughout the entire year.
Thank you to the donors, sponsors, and community partners whose generosity makes these programs possible. Together, we are helping Snohomish School District students learn, grow, and thrive—during the summer and beyond.
SEF programs are all supported by generous donations from the local community. Join SEF at it’s 40th Anniversary celebration and annual auction on November 7th at Tulalip Casino Resort. Purchase tickets here.
