2024 Auction Shatters Records with $350,000 Raised for Snohomish Students

The Snohomish Education Foundation’s (SEF) 2024 Auction, held November 11 at the Tulalip Resort, was a historic success! With 350 attendees—the largest crowd in our history—we raised a record-breaking $350,000 to support Snohomish students, teachers, and district-wide programs.

Executive Director Erica Cenci reflected on the milestone, “We had a goal to raise $300,000. Surpassing that and reaching over $350,000 is a testament to our community’s deep commitment to education. Snohomish truly value the opportunities that quality education creates for the students in our community.”

Here’s how the funds will make an impact:

• Classroom Innovation Grants: $94,400 will fund innovative projects across all district schools. Grants like these enable teachers to dream big and create unique learning opportunities, and fund opportunities like field trips, projects, materials and critical supplies.
• Scholarships: In 2024, SEF awarded $50,000 directly and managed $240,000 in scholarships from community trusts. For 2025, we’re expanding offerings, including new trade-focused scholarships to support students entering apprenticeships and internships.
• District-Wide Programs: Funds will support programs like summer learning, credit retrieval, and library operations, ensuring continued access to essential resources.
• Basic Needs Initiative: This year, attendees supported a new Bid Cards for Backpacks effort, raising $4,950 to provide school supplies, clothing, and hygiene items for students in need.

SEF Auction Committee Chair Keely Reinhard said, “It was a fabulous night! I am continually humbled at how this community supports our schools. The teachers and students will benefit greatly from the generosity of our donors. This is truly a community event where folks come together to support the students and families of Snohomish through their donations to this foundation. We could not do it without the generosity of our sponsors, local businesses, our board of trustees and community members.”
