“Imagine… the impact you can make!†Fundraising Auction
On October 4, 2014 Snohomish Education Foundation hosted its “Imagine… the impact you can make!†Annual Fundraising Auction at the Tulalip Casino Resort. This event grossed over $168,500. The evening began with a competitive and energized silent auction, followed with a performance by Glacier Peak High School’s Brass Quintet, and a night of frenzied live auction bidding. During the fund a need portion of the evening Emerson Principal, Craig Church, shared the many programs the Foundation has provided funding for over the years and the positive impact it has had on his students and teachers. Grant Duffy, Glacier Peak High School Senior also shared the phenomenal opportunities he has been provided through the District’s cutting edge Machining Pathways program and how these opportunities have encouraged him, his peers and future Snohomish students to go forth and make a difference in the World.
“Thanks to our many generous donors, corporate sponsors, and volunteers this evening was a great success.†stated Patty Venema, Auction Co-Chair. “The funds donated today make a lasting impact on the students of tomorrow, our community as a whole and globally. The monies raised will allow us to continue funding our District-wide projects, Classroom Grant, Scholarship, and Hansen Shoe Fund programs.â€
